It is hard to be amazed by anything you see on the internet these days, when you know for a fact that any teenager with a computer and a copy of Adobe Photoshop or other photo manipulation software can put together a fake photograph in a couple of minutes. Which would make you completely right to believe that these photographs have been tempered with! Unfortunately, this means there’s a bunch of jaw-dropping images that the internet declared “FAKE!” the moment they appeared! But, you need to be broad minded and always mind that real life is, sometimes, stranger than Photoshopped imagery and some of the most unbelievable, jaw-dropping of those photographs are, in fact, REAL.
The cat one is a picture of the cat as the wallpaper, geez.
Guys, the dog’s photo is real, it was just captured at the right moment. From lying down, it went up to stand like a human in both its feet.
Really? The ballerinas are JUMPING you people. And the dog are not defying the laws of physics. It was just good timing. The house tornado fire is real. It made national news headlines a couple of years back. I can’t believe the idiots you see in the intarwebs. It takes a SPLIT SECOND to take a photograph. Timing is everything.
i know that dogs can live witout front legs, or back legs…my dog only have 3 legs. but the way they are stading is impossible, they would most deff fall foward.
The dogs are absolutely real. It’s a birth defect (they’re littermates). The owner chose not to put them down because they seem happy enough and get around ok. I admit that I found it hard to watch, but if they’re suffering, they don’t seem to notice. The defect happens sometimes like when humans are born armless or legless. look up “kangaroo dogs” (for how they get around) on youtube.
The one with the Sukhoi plane is a famous fake. The main gear doors are open and the horizontal stabiliser is on ground position. This means that the plane was on the ground, and so, not flying…

The girls are all jumping, look at the reflection of their feet on the floor, and look at their hair, you can see the loose hair kind of bouncing. The dogs are most definitely PhotoShopped, there is no way that the dogs could balance like that.
Haha I pretty sure the Asian girls are all in a ballet class and jumping in first position….its all the same time cuz they are doing it to music and on counts….they’re not on wires and I don’t think it’s the “reflecting of the floor”…its just a perfect moment shot
the photo of the siamese cat on the Sony Laptop is most definitely Photoshopped. You have to take two photos of the cat, one with the laptop open and one without the laptop on the bed… then you blend the two in Photoshop to get the effect of the transparent computer. It’s great fun to do and I like this shot but it should NOT be in this collection.
Go to flickr.com and do a search for TRANSPARENT SCREENS…. I rest my case!
Well i have worked on photoshop for over 10 years now, and know for a fact that several of these images have been worked on…… some aren’t even good photoshop jobs…..
To Matt: The photo about the bull is not an angle trick photo, the bullfighter has the horn inside, you can check it if you look for: Julio Aparicio throat bull at Google, you can even see the video, it happened in Madrid last May.
I know for a fact the watermelon-head picture is real- it’s a tradition for Saskatchewan football fans to wear watermelons to games. Dunno why, though.
The asian girls are standing on their toes and the floor is very reflective.Or they are being hung by wires!
The only one I feel may be fake is the dogs, and that’s just because of the position they’re in. If anyone is wondering:

The fire tornado is absolutely real. My father is a fire chief and I’ve gone to some fires with him in the past, they actually happen all the time,
but not usually this big and this photo is perfect of it.

Eagle and light thing are both just good timing and placement.
That’s just the ejection seat of an airplane, nothing weird there. It has jets on the seat to push it away from the plane.
The worm is definitely real.

I know you all know that, I just wanted point it out to those who didn’t.
The Asian girls are not floating. They are standing on the floor. The camera angle and lighting give the illusion that they are hovering a few inches above the floor but their feet are actually in contact with the floor. I have seen a similar picture of a guy standing in a parking lot next to a small grease spot. The spot gives the illusion of a shadow and makes it appear that he is hovering a few inches above the ground.

The two dogs are definitely shopped or manipulated without seeing marks from the clone tool, and I don’t care what anyone says to the contrary. These dogs would be defying the laws of physics. Completely impossible.
i am curious.. what happened to the 2 dogs above? their front feet was “accidentally” cut? it is completely out of question that their feet were cut on purpose.. it is a crime..

The photos of dogs with no legs and the house fire are both digitally manipulated – very poorly. Look at the dogs legs and you’ll see they screwed up the shadow with the clone tool. They also cloned over a part of one of the existing feet with background. Fail.
The house fire was blended with either a tornado or a water spout – very poorly. Fail.
